The Revive! National Account Programme – a ten year programme!
The Revive! National Account programme was born in 2006 giving the network an instant £200,000 boost in sales during its first year of operation. Since then, the programme has come a long way and Revive! have established some very long standing partners in the process.
National Accounts are contracts which have been secured by Head Office to provide Small – Medium Area Repair Technique (SMART) services to large organisations by sub-contracting work out to the franchisee network. Typically this work accounts for 25% of franchisees’ sales and can therefore be a significant contributor to the success of their business.
An ad-hoc skill becomes a highly professional service
Previously, quality and skill within the SMART industry could vary hugely. Technical excellence has always been a priority at Revive! but in the early days, it was very easy for someone to start up as a SMART repairer with little training and low grade equipment which often resulted in poor quality workmanship. Revive! knew if it was to be taken seriously with national blue chip companies, the business would have to differentiate itself from any stigmas which were circling the industry at the time.
The IMI accreditation – the standard for professional repairers
The Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI) recognised that there was a need to bring a professional accreditation to the SMART Repair sector. In 2010 the IMI developed a focus group bringing together body repair experts to set out the way that professional Smart Repairs should be carried out. Revive! were proud to be the representative of SMART Repairers on the focus group which created the IMI accreditation. The accreditation is the highest level of professional qualification which can be achieved in the field and it is used to certify quality and act as a national standard for this type of work. The accreditation is recognised not only by Revive!’s partners, but by all professional organisations using SMART Repairers.
Not only have Revive! played a pivotal role in creating a standard for the service; Revive! are fully committed to technical excellence and are on their way to becoming a fully accredited network for National Account partners.
SMART repairs are now widely accepted as a high quality repair process and have been embraced in the automotive industry and affiliate industries such as Insurance and Fleet Management. Revive! have played a pivotal role in establishing the credibility of the service and Revive!’s network are now reaping the rewards.

SMART repairs are in high demand, especially in B2B markets providing a crucial service to Car Dealerships, Insurance and Fleet Management companies. As a convenient and cost effective alternative to bodyshop repairs, Revive!’s service has become very favourable with large blue chip companies and the demand is continuing to grow year on year.
Our commitment to quality and our National Account customers means that only qualified technicians are granted access to this work. By 2017 the IMI accreditation will be a prerequisite for this work too.
