Coventry Blaze November Results Summary

The Coventry Blaze has had a fantastic November competing in 11 matches across the month winning eight matches and putting them at 2nd in the league table. The 2024/25 season is certainly hotting up to be an exciting and competitive one for the Coventry Blaze.

Coventry Blaze vs Cardiff Devils – 5-3 – 30th Oct

The Blaze finished off October with an exciting victory over the home side, the Cardiff Devils. Despite the Devils scoring first the Blaze were undeterred and levelled the playfield quickly with a goal from captain Kim Tallberg. After a series of fantastic saves at the start of the third period by Mat Robson, he managed to setup Chase Gresock to extend Coventry’s lead to two goals. But the Devils weren’t done yet and fought for a third goal against the Blaze.

Coventry Blaze vs Dundee Stars – 3-4 – 2nd Nov

Coventry were determined to get off to a hot start against the Dundee stars and fought for multiple chances, their determination and discipline took the match into overtime at 3-3 but the Stars prevailed pushing a final goal past Mat Robson

Coventry Blaze vs Glasgow Clan – 3-1 – 3rd Nov

After a tentative start for both teams the Glasgow clan were the first to open the scoring nine minutes into the first period with the rest of the first period showing the Blaze struggling to get a grip on the game. It took till 34 minutes into the match for the Blaze to even the game with a firm equaliser from Jackson Cressey. Glasgow pulled their goalie for the final minutes of the game in an effort to claw back a lead but the Blaze took advantage with a swift goal from Mike Regush taking the final score to 3-1 to the Blaze.

Coventry Blaze vs Guildford Flames – 1-2 – 9th Nov

After a series of tight competitive games Coventry Blaze were hoping for a night off, but the Guildford Flames wouldn’t give any quarter. The Blaze started strong against the flames, but the Flames were just too hot and scored 2 past Mat Robson, making the final score 1-2 to the Guildford Flames.

Coventry Blaze vs Cardiff Devils – 0-3 – 10th Nov

It was a weekend to forget for the Coventry Blaze as they came up against the Cardiff Devils who top the league. The Devils punished the Blaze with a costly 3-0 shutout ending a painful weekend for Coventry fans.

Coventry Blaze vs Sheffield Steelers – 4-3 – 16th Nov

Back from their disappointing weekend the Blaze fought for a crucial victory in overtime against the fearsome Sheffield Steelers. Coventry responded quickly with a goal to Steelers 3 goals and pressed their advantage to capture victory in overtime.

Coventry Blaze vs Nottingham Panthers – 4-3 – 17th Nov

The Blaze maintained their impressive form with a skillful 4-3 victory over the Nottingham Panthers. The incredibly physical match saw the Blaze lead into second period 3-1. Pressing their advantage the Coventry side entered the final period 4-2, holding their advantage over the panthers. Nottingham’s persistence paid off with a final goal in the final period, resulting in a 4-3 victory to the Blaze.

Win – 4-3 vs Dundee Stars – 23rd Nov

The Coventry Blaze mounted an impressive comeback in the third period to take victory against the Dundee Stars. The Blaze entered the final quarter at 1-3 following two brutal periods but fought back to force overtime and eventually take victory 4-3.

Win – 9-2 vs Fife Flyers – 24th Nov

The Coventry Blaze were the standout performers on the day, not giving Fife the opportunity to fight back with the scoring opening just 18 seconds into the game. At the close of the first period the Blaze were already 4 goals ahead. There were just one goal each for the two teams in the second period as Fife managed to find their form. The final period however became similar to the first, with the Blaze sending a flurry of goals to Fife flyers leading to a 9-2 victory.

Coventry Blaze vs Guildford Flames – 4-3 – 30th Nov

The Coventry Blaze moved into a triumphant second place in the standings following a victory against the Guildford Flames. While the Flames opened the scoring, this wasn’t to be like their last outing, the Blaze struck back just 9 seconds later with a goal from Alessio Luciani. Early into the second period Luciani claimed a second goal, the Blaze extended their lead with a third goal from Grayson Constable. The final period was closely fought with tight competition between the two sides. But the Blaze came out triumphant with the final score being 4-3 Coventry.

Coventry Blaze vs Manchester Storm – 6-4 – 1st Dec

Despite a reduced team sheet Coventry Blaze still brought home the victory to kick off December in style. The Blaze kicked off the scoring with a quick goal from Chase Gresock, Manchester fought back with a goal of their own, so Chase brought the Blaze back into the lead with a second goal. The second period saw the Storm press on and take the lead with a number of goals, the counterattack came in the final period for the Blaze who dominated throughout leading to a 6-4 victory.
