Coventry Blaze December Results

The Coventry Blaze seems to have been having a difficult time as of late, losing 9 of their last 12 games. Despite strong support from fans and occasional moments of brilliance from the team, it seems the December blues truly took a hold of the Revive! sponsored side. Lets hope the new year will bring a fresh perspective and better results for the Blaze.

Coventry Blaze vs Sheffield Steelers 2-5 – 7th December

The blaze started December poorly with a losing effort against the Sheffield Steelers despite goals from Alessio Luciani and Mike Regush. Luciani’s goal in fact brought him to joint second place in Elite League Goal scorers table.

Coventry Blaze vs Belfast Giants 1-6 – 8th December

The Blaze suffered their next defeat against the Belfast Giants, who dominated the Blaze throughout despite Jack Hopkins sole goal for the Blaze in the second period.

Coventry Blaze vs Cardiff Devils 3-4 – 11th December

Coventry Blaze squandered their challenge cup opportunity in a loss to the Cardiff Devils, despite a heated contest the Blaze were unable to take home the win. The Blaze team saw good performances all round with goals from Brandon Alderson, Chase Gresock and Jackson Cressey.

Coventry Blaze vs Dundee Stars 7-1 – 14th December

Seeming to find their success of previous months the Blaze completed a dominant victory over the Dundee Stars. The night was made even more special as the victory took place on the Blaze’s David Clements 500th game. The Blaze had goals from Alessio Luciani (2), Nick Seitz, Chase Gresock, Zach Heintz, Kim Tallberg and Terrance Amorosa.

Coventry Blaze vs Fife Flyers 7-1 – 15th December

The Blaze continued their successful weekend with a second dominant win, this time over the Fife Flyers. With a hattrick from Chase Gresock the victory was never in doubt and the Blaze barely seemed challenged throughout the contest. Goals came from Chase Gresock (3), Alex Kuqali, Nick Seitz, Brandon Alderson and Grayson Constable.

Coventry Blaze vs Belfast Giants 1-4 – 18th December

The Belfast Giants came out strong against the Blaze leading to an end to Coventry’s bright spot. Chase Gresock managed to sneak one past the Belfast keeper after an initial rebound.

Coventry Blaze vs Manchester Storm 1-5 – 21st December

Trying to retain their Christmas spirit in their last home game before the holidays did nothing for the Blazes competitive edge, losing out again to the Manchester Storm in a 5-1 defeat, with Nick Seitz’s sole goal for the Blaze being one of the few bright spots for the game.

Coventry Blaze vs Guildford Flames 2-3 – 22nd December

The Blaze had a tight contest with the Guildford Flames to close out before Christmas but unfortunately came out on the losing end despite fantastic goals from Alessio Luciani and Nick Seitz.

Coventry Blaze vs Cardiff Devils 5-2 – 26th December

The Blaze celebrated the holidays with a bang with a fantastic victory over the Cardiff Devils. It was a packed house in the Coventry Skydome with the Blaze’s fans coming out in force for the Boxing Day contest. The Blaze’s brilliant 5 goals came from David Clements, Chase Gresock, Grayson Constable, Nick Seitz and Mike Regush.

Coventry Blaze vs Cardiff Devils 1-3 – 28th December

The Devils only had to wait a short time to get their revenge however and took a damaging victory over the Blaze. The Blaze’s sole goal came at the start of the second period, coming from Jackson Cressey.

Coventry Blaze vs Nottingham Panthers 2-9 – 31st December

The Coventry Blaze seemingly had no answer for the Nottingham Panthers as they were dominated 9-2 in their New Years Eve contest, with the only Blaze goals coming from Chase Gresock and Nick Seitz in the closing stages of the game.

Coventry Blaze vs Nottingham Panthers 0-3 – 1st January

It was a continuation of their previous contest for the Nottingham Panthers as despite the break to celebrate the new year the Blaze still had no answer for the Panthers dominance. Leaving the contest with no goals certainly wasn’t the ideal starting point for the Coventry Blaze’s 2025 campaign, here’s hoping for an upswing in the Blaze’s chances as the year progresses.
