Jordan Steps into the Realm of World Rallycross

Revive! sponsored Andrew Jordan is back for more World Rallycross at Lydden with the Peugeot –Hansen racing Team.

Andrew will be competing in the British round of the FIA World Rallycross Championship at Lydden Hill on 22-24 May behind the wheel of a works Peugeot 208 WRX.

Starting out as a Rallycross driver, Andrew really made his mark in the sport in 2007 by winning the British Rallycross Supercar title. Much of the Red Bull athlete’s excellent trademark car control today has been accredited to his Rallycross beginnings.

Rallycross has developed into a huge profile sport in recent times and it is great that Andrew gets the chance to race one of the front running cars at his home event. Team Peugeot-Hansen run the 208 WRXs and Jordan has highlighted his appetite for the event this year, aiming to go one better after a podium finish in 2014.

“It’s a fantastic opportunity for me and it is thanks to my relationship with Red Bull that I’ve got this chance to compete at Lydden,” commented Andrew. “Last year was my first time in a Rallycross supercar since 2007 and I finished on the podium. This year I want to build on that and there is no reason why I can’t be challenging for overall victory.”

“I’m thrilled at the chance to join Team Peugeot-Hansen and it will be great to work with Kenneth Hansen, the most successful driver in European Rallycross. I’m looking forward to being part of such a strong team alongside my team mates Timmy Hansen and Davy Jeanney.”

Andrew’s main goal this year is to win the BTCC championship with Triple Eight and Pirtek Racing, however the chance to compete at a World level in Rallycross was an exciting opportunity for Andrew which couldn’t be missed.

So stay tuned to find out about Andrew’s progress in the World Rallycross championship with Revive!
