Inside Revive! – How Revive! are here to help the growing redundant workforces
With the recent news of the wind down of ATS Euromaster the turbulence of the automotive sector continues. There have been several significant redundancy announcements and business closures in 2026 already, with Aston Martin announcing a 20% reduction in their workforce and O&H Vehicle Conversions closing altogether with the loss of 157 jobs. At the start of the year industry experts revealed that they expected a ‘wave of redundancies’ in 2026 due to mounting pressure on suppliers both in Europe and the US. It appears that their expectations are coming to pass.
While some of the ATS Euromaster locations are being acquired, over 700 employees are still expected to be at risk of redundancy.
At Revive! we have worked hard to build a network of over 250 expert specialist technicians who can not only perform high quality repairs on a mobile basis but can also offer outstanding customer service. Revive! are constantly growing and we’re always on the lookout for enthusiastic technicians who want to make an impact in the automotive industry. The UK technician shortage is only getting bigger as the years progress, with more and more technicians not only retiring from the industry but also making the decision to leave the field due to poor working conditions and a lack of growth opportunities. As a consequence, we want to offer opportunities for ATS Euromaster employees and other redundant vehicle technicians who would like to stay within the automotive sector and retrain.
Our inhouse IMI accredited training and development programme is uniquely set up to train you in the necessary skills required to perform as a Smart repair technician, while giving you a head start in your future Revive! role. We will also help you transfer your existing automotive expertise to build an in-demand skillset that will help you to establish a career as part of the Revive! network.
