Revive! Repairs lead to Speedy Sales

Getting a car out the door as quickly as possible is obviously the priority for many dealers, as a rapid stock rotation will not only bring in increased turnover, but reduce stocking fees and increase sales speed, with customers more likely to buy a vehicle if they believe it won’t be there next week.

Autotrader recently revealed that used vehicles left dealer showrooms at near record pace in 2025, with vehicles spending on average 31 days on forecourts before being snapped up by eager buyers. Although this is one day slower than in 2024 it is a day faster than 2023.

Statistics show that the Peugeot E-208 was the UK’s fastest selling used car of 2025 with models leaving showrooms in just 17 days on average. EVs were certainly the popular choice in 2025, selling faster in Q4 than most petrol models. However, the slowest-selling used car in 2025 was also an EV, the Mini Electric Countryman took on average an astonishingly slow 128.5 days to sell. Meaning many dealers will be looking to shed this unwelcome EV in 2026 before it starts to gather dust.

With increasing pressure to streamline overheads coupled with rapidly rising stocking charges, speed has never been more important when it comes to evaluating and repairing used vehicles. Insight from Revive! suggests that vehicle preparation times can be brought down dramatically by removing cosmetic repairs from the body shop queue. In leveraging a mobile Smart Repair service to solve cosmetic issues, cars can spend less time in preparation and longer in front of potential buyers, with the added benefit of freeing up in-house technicians to focus on major accident repairs.

Implementing Revive!’s fully mobile service at dealerships helps to sell more cars profitably by relieving the dealer of more minor repairs, thus reducing stock preparation times and avoiding the costs and downtime associated with traditional body shops.
