Revive! sponsored Andrew Jordan will continue his title bid this weekend (5/6 September) in the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship, entering rounds 22, 23 and 24 of the season at Rockingham.
Andrew’s 2015 season so far has seen its ups and downs in the MG6 GT run by Triple Eight Racing. Despite Jordan’s reserved outlook for this season’s prospects, he is still mathematically well in contention with 9 rounds remaining and a 30 point gap separating Jordan in fifth position from championship leader Jason Plato.
Other championship bidders Matt Neale and Colin Turkington are also well within touching distance, just eight and two points ahead. All of the top five drivers (Plato, Shedden, Neale, Turkington and Jordan) are former champions and they all know what it takes to clinch the title. It’s a long season, and as we have seen so far, anything can happen.
Repeatedly commenting that the championship is now a long shot, Jordan is still confident that Rockingham is a circuit that the team can do well at. Jordan is focusing in on race wins rather than concerning himself with the overall standings.
“Rockingham should be better for us than Knockhill and we should definitely be more competitive there,” confirmed Andrew, “We’ll go into the weekend with 39kg of success ballast and a top four qualifying position will be my target.
“I’ve always gone well at Rockingham and I’ll drive it as quick as I can and see where we get in the races. It’s a track that is very aggressive on tyres and we have to be aware of that.”

Let’s hope that Jordan can continue to narrow the gap at the top to make for a nail biting end to the 2015 BTCC season.
