Revive!’s Andrew Jordan is up for the fight in rounds 10, 11 and 12 where he will resume his 2015 BTCC campaign after a 4 week break in the calendar.
On the 6th and 7th June Andrew will be returning to Oulton Park in Cheshire where he will be looking to earn some vital championship points.
Oulton Park historically attracts the biggest crowd of the season, with BTCC fans flocking in their droves to watch action packed racing at probably the most picturesque track of the season. Jordan is going into the weekend confident after previous concerns over his MG’s pace. Currently sitting in fifth, Jordan is only 15 points behind early championship leader Gordon Shedden.
Andrew has hit 2 podiums so far finishing second at Donington and Thruxton whilst also scoring well in 6 of the 7 other races. Consistency has been said to be the key for this season however it is important to win races and Andrew feels he will have a very strong setup for Oulton.
“The start of the year has been a tough one as we haven’t had the pace we wanted,” said Andrew. “But we’ve done a good job of being consistent and scoring points so we are still very much in the title hunt. Oulton Park has been a good track for MG in the past and it’s one of my favourite tracks. At the moment the Honda is the package to beat, but I’m just concentrating on finding more performance from our car and if we do that then we will be able to close the gap.”
Qualifying starts on the 6th June leading to the 3 rounds of racing which will start at 12.15 on Sunday 7th . You can catch all of the day’s action live on ITV4 and the way the season is shaping up, you will not want to the miss this.
