We’re proud to announce that Revive! is in the running for the 2018 Award for Franchise Support in this year’s prestigious bfa HSBC Franchise Awards.

Supporting our network is very important to us. We have built our reputation on delivering top quality work and the highest level of customer service and our franchisees are in the frontline.  From day one, we ensure they have all the training, technology and expert advice they need to build and sustain the best businesses they can, supported by our brilliant head office team.

Winners will be announced on 28 June.

  2. Quartet of New Recruits join Revive!

The head office team at Revive! continues to grow as the UK’s leading network of accredited mobile vehicle paint repairers reports record levels of demand for its top-quality service.

Four new people have been recruited, bringing Revive!’s headcount in Rugby to 32. Sarah Pritchard (25) takes on the newly created role of marketing assistant and Hannah Hislop (21), Emily Palmer (18) and Darcey Jerams (23) join the customer services team as administrators.

Said Revive! operations director Terry Mullen: “It’s hard to believe that just ten years ago there was only a handful of us working from our Upton Road offices!  The business has expanded year on year and shows no sign of slowing down.  We moved our customer services and administration support teams to Bernhard Court in Bilton Road four years ago and have just finished a refurbishment of the workshop and offices in Upton Road.

“Rugby is a great place to live and work and the quality of people we’re recruiting is second to none. I’m delighted to welcome Hannah, Sarah, Emily and Darcey to our team and wish them every success as they enter the next phase of their careers with us here at Revive!”

  3. Revive! sponsored Andrew Jordan seeks to build on BMW debut

Comments Off on Revive! sponsored Andrew Jordan seeks to build on BMW debut

Revive! sponsored Andrew Jordan has his sights firmly fixed on success in the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship after officially confirming his place on the grid for the 2018 season.

Andrew will remain with the championship winning West Surrey Racing team for a second successive season, and also retains backing from BMW UK for the new campaign in a move that will see him continue to race under the BMW Pirtek Racing banner.

Despite the fact that 2017 was his first season competing in a rear-wheel drive touring car, Andrew enjoyed a successful year on track, with three wins over the course of the campaign in his BMW 125i M Sport.

With valuable knowledge of the car now under his belt, and a strong working relationship with the team, Andrew has his sights firmly fixed on overall honours in 2018 as he seeks to try and secure the BTCC title for a second time.

“I’m very excited about the season ahead and I feel confident that 2018 can be a good year for BMW Pirtek Racing” he said. “For me, the continuity of running with the same team and in the same car is something that cannot be underestimated, and I’m looking forward to getting our testing programme underway so we can start preparing for Brands Hatch.

“The key difference to twelve months ago is that I have a lot more knowledge of the BMW, and it means that I go into our pre-season programme focused on developing the car for what is to come, rather than needing to learn how to get the best out of it.

“I feel in a really good place, and I’m looking to fight for wins from the outset to launch a bid for the championship. We showed last year that we had the speed, and now we just need a bit more luck and a bit more consistency than we had in 2017.

“I’m also extremely proud that I will be racing with the support of BMW UK again this season. On a personal level, it is fantastic to be working so closely with a major manufacturer, whilst the additional benefits that come from being manufacturer backed are also a reward for the sponsors who continue to support me.”

Andrew’s new look Pirtek BMW Racing BMW 125i M Sport will be revealed ahead of the opening rounds of the new season, which take place at Brands Hatch on the weekend of 7/8 April.

Comments Off on Revive! named as a top 10 UK Franchise

Revive! has been named as one of the top 10 franchises in the UK in the latest industry league table.

The UK’s largest network of accredited vehicle paint repairers was placed 9th sharing the top of the table with franchise giants including Home Instead, McDonald’s, Tax Assist, Subway, Driver Hire, Snap on Tools and Action Coach.

The Elite Franchise 100 recognises the sector’s brightest businesses and ranks them according to a broad range of criteria, from their financial performance and heritage in the industry, to their contribution to the community and the way they embrace innovation.

In a tweet congratulating Revive! on the achievement Elite Franchise magazine said: “The placing is very well deserved. We were really impressed by your growth and the contribution you’ve made to the franchise community.”

Revive! managing director Mark Llewellyn said: “We are delighted to be among the top ten in the first Elite Franchise league table.  The team here at Revive! is continually striving to help our franchisees build and grow strong, robust businesses that go far beyond being just a man in a van. From day one we have been determined to set and drive up standards within our industry and we’re very proud to say that we now have the largest network of accredited smart repairers in the UK. The high ranking we’ve achieved underlines the quality of our franchise opportunity and is a credit to everyone at Revive! who has worked so hard to get us to this point.”

The winners will be announced at a Gala Dinner to be held at Coombe Abbey on Tuesday 28 November.

  6. Revive! Expands Head Office Support Team

Comments Off on Revive! Expands Head Office Support Team

Kelly Blackmore-Lee has joined the Revive! head office team as head of franchise operations South.

Previously head of compliance at the British Franchise Association (bfa), Kelly has considerable experience working within the franchise industry. Before moving to the bfa she held senior roles at both the Dream Doors and Shakeaway franchises.

Revive! has re-structured its business development team to manage the demands of its growing nationwide franchisee network. Previously looking after the whole UK, Julie Eley will now focus on supporting and developing the businesses of franchisees in the North while Kelly’s time will be devoted to assisting those in the South.

Holding a Master’s degree in law, Kelly will also work with Revive! operations director Terry Mullen on renewals, sales and legal and territory matters.

Said Kelly: “I’ve been watching Revive! go from strength to strength for the past ten years, so when the opportunity presented itself to join the team it was an easy decision to make.  I enjoyed my time at the bfa but wanted to get back into hands on franchising and am really looking forward to working with the franchisees in my area.  Helping franchisees grow their businesses is what it’s all about and I’ve got heaps of experience I can’t wait to share.”

Commenting on the new appointment, Terry Mullen said: “As our network of accredited repairers grows, it’s important to make sure that we continue to give our franchisees the level and quality of business support they expect from Revive! The ambition and drive amongst the network is phenomenal and by splitting the franchise operations role, we will be able to work even more closely with franchisees to help them develop and expand their businesses.”

“I’m delighted to welcome Kelly to our head office team. She has a huge amount of experience gained in different franchising sectors and at the bfa and I am sure this knowledge will be very valuable to us here at Revive!”

  7. Revive! West Lincs Shortlisted for Award

Comments Off on Revive! West Lincs Shortlisted for Award

It is one of four finalists hoping to win the SME Business of the Year category in the Lincolnshire Media Business Awards 2017. The winner will be announced at an awards dinner later this month.

Owner of Revive! West Lincs Russell Hudson and his team are on track to hit £1m turnover by the end of next year. Currently employing eleven people, the franchise has eight mobile repair vans and two specialist wheel vans on the road.

Said Russell: “We’re delighted to have been shortlisted for this award. We have had one of the best trading years ever and I felt that our award submission was strong. Even so it was a big surprise to hear that we were one of the finalists. We’ve got a great team of people here at Revive! West Lincs and it’s all credit to them that our business has been recognised as one of the best in Lincolnshire.”

Russell set up the business in 2006 following a career in corporate hospitality. He’d always had an interest in cars, and made the decision to work for himself after starting a family. Initially he trained as repair technician and operated his own van, quickly progressing to taking on more technicians and vans as the business grew.

He explained: “I always had ambitious growth plans for the business, but I knew I had to start hands-on to properly understand the industry. Today I mainly focus on business development and managing the fleet, but I still step in to carry out repairs if we’re short staffed. Customer service and reliability are paramount.”

  8. Andrew Jordan fights for Silverstone top ten

Comments Off on Andrew Jordan fights for Silverstone top ten

Revive! sponsored Andrew Jordan fought back from two tough races at Silverstone to secure a top ten finish from the penultimate rounds of the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship season.

Andrew went into the weekend on a high following his third win of the campaign at Rockingham, and was keen to try and score three solid points finishes at the wheel of his West Surrey Racing-run BMW 125i M Sport.

Qualifying would prove to be tight affair with less than a second covering the full 32-car field, with Andrew securing 16th on the grid for the opening race of the weekend.

Having climbed to twelfth in the early stages, Andrew would slip back down the order after contact in the field and was then unfortunate to get caught up in someone else’s incident on lap 14 and was forced to retire.

With his damaged car repaired for race two, Andrew lined up 26th on the grid and was making up places before a puncture resulted in an unscheduled pitstop that dropped him off the lead lap and resulted in a 27th place finish.

Luck would finally be on Andrew’s side in race three however, with a solid drive through the pack that saw him race into the top ten; avoiding a number of incidents ahead and showing the pace in the BMW to cross the line in eighth spot.

Andrew ends the weekend eighth in the championship standings heading to Finals Day at Brands Hatch at the end of the month.

“There’s no doubt that today has been a tough day, and through no fault of our own,” he said. “We made up places early on in race one and were working our way forwards when I got hit and dropped down the order. That meant I was then in the wrong place at the wrong time when it kicked off ahead.

“The team did a great job to repair the damage but it was a similar story in race two when I got hit again and then had a tyre let go at Luffield, which meant we failed to score for a second time.

“The car felt good in race three despite being on the hard tyre and the luck was with us a bit more. Things opened up and we came through to score a decent top ten finish, although I think that also shows how we could have come away from the weekend with a lot more.”

  9. Trio of new Franchise Owners for Revive!

Comments Off on Trio of new Franchise Owners for Revive!

The UK’s largest network of accredited smart repairers, Revive! has welcomed three new franchisees as part of the company’s strategic growth plan to achieve a turnover of £20m by 2020.

As the volume of its work continues to increase, Revive! has been looking for top quality people to further boost the extensive coverage that the specialist vehicle and alloy wheel repairer provides to trade and retail customers.

Callum Reay has taken on Revive! Solihull and Ian Stewart will focus on Southampton. Former senior technician at Revive Trafford, Martin Jones is the new owner of Revive! Stockport following the semi-retirement of Warren Meyer who is moving to a part time role within the business.

Commenting on the new franchisees, Revive! managing director Mark Llewellyn said: “It’s really important to us that we recruit the right people to become Revive! franchisees. Our reputation has been built on the quality of our work and delivering a very high level of customer service.  It’s not about a numbers game – anyone can become a man in a van painting cars. It takes a specific skill set to be able to build a business and individuals of that calibre are not easy to find. Callum and Ian are already demonstrating they’ve got what it takes to manage a busy Revive! territory and I look forward to seeing them join our group of high achievers before too long.

“I am delighted that Martin decided to buy Revive! Stockport. He is an outstanding technician and has nine years with Revive! under his belt. He has seen the benefits of owning a Revive! territory first hand and will bring a wealth of experience to his new ownership role.”

Basingstoke Business Drives Classic Skoda in Charity Rally

The team at Revive! Basingstoke has just come back from world’s largest charity car rally.

Owners of the Knight Park Road based specialist mobile vehicle paint repair company Michal Lepiarz and his partner Irmina Kowalska together with Irmina’s brother Kamil and friend Krzysiek raised over 400 euros for international orphanage charities in the Zlombol Rally driving their 1991 Skoda Favorit car nearly 6000 kilometres.

They travelled from Basingstoke to the start of the rally in Poland, then drove through the Czech Republic, Germany, and France before ending the rally in Spain.

It is the second year that Irmina and Michal have taken part in the rally where only cars designed or manufactured in the former Eastern Bloc can enter.

Explained Irmina: “We don’t really take part in any other rallies or competitions. We like this one because it gives us the opportunity to meet fascinating people who come from all different backgrounds and are taking part for thousands of different reasons. Two things we all have in common is helping children and enjoying time on the road together in our old cars.

“We had a great time and are relieved that Michal’s beloved Skoda withstood the challenge!”

Over 500 cars completed the week-long event and the total amount raised is expected to exceed the 250,000 euros achieved last year.

  11. New Head of Mobile Sales for Revive!

Comments Off on New Head of Mobile Sales for Revive!

The UK’s largest network of accredited repairers, Revive! has appointed Mike Collyer to the post of head of mobile sales.

Mike has spent his whole career in the automotive industry. He has considerable expertise in all aspects of bodyshop management gained through running his own repair facility and working for major dealerships including the Sytner Group, Vertu Motors Plc and Pendragon Plc. Latterly he was responsible for the Toyota network of approved repairers in the Southern half of the UK.

Said Mike: “After years spent in big corporate environments I was ready for a change and a new challenge.

I like what I’ve seen and heard about Revive! I have a lot to bring to this role and believe I can make a big difference.”

Commenting on the appointment, Revive! managing director Mark Llewellyn said: “Our business success is all down to the quality of people we have working here. Finding and recruiting the best candidates is very important, and I’m delighted that Mike has chosen to bring his wealth of experience and knowledge to Revive!.

“He has an impressive pedigree and ‘gets’ what we are striving to achieve.  Revive! is the only network of accredited repairers to offer a UK wide-coverage and the increasing volume of national account work we are seeing reflects this. Having technicians available at the right place at the right time is crucial to the success of our business and it’s vital that we manage our resources effectively to deliver the best possible coverage and service to both our trade and retail customers.”

In his spare time Mike is an avid motorbike fan.  When he ran his own bodyshop one of his contracts was with the UK importer of Ducati motorcycles and for many years he competed in the British Championships. He is married with two grown up children and lives near Northampton.

  12. Andrew Jordan secures BTCC Rockingham victory

Comments Off on Andrew Jordan secures BTCC Rockingham victory

Revive! sponsored Andrew Jordan enjoyed a fine end to the weekend at Rockingham, after wrapping up his third victory of the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship season.

Andrew headed into the eighth meeting of the campaign looking to bounce back from challenging weekends on track at both Snetterton and Knockhill, where the pace in his West Surrey Racing-run BMW 125i M Sport wasn’t reflected in the end results.

An astonishingly tight qualifying session saw Andrew post the 18th quickest time despite being just half a second off pole, with the 28-year-old eager to try and fight his way forward on race day.

Andrew worked his way up to twelfth place by the finish and then came out on top of a race-long battle with fellow WSR driver Rob Collard in race two to pick up seventh.

That then put Andrew on pole for the final race of the weekend once the reverse grid draw took place, and he was able to fend off the Mercedes of Adam Morgan in the early stages – and at a late race restart following a Safety Car period – to secure his third victory of the campaign.

That third win means Andrew now sits sixth in the championship standings, with BMW Pirtek Racing just a point shy of the same position in the Teams’ Championship.

“In recent events, our pace has been unrewarded so I went into this weekend feeling quite relaxed,” he said. “After qualifying, I knew we were out of position and the aim was to simply maximise what we could from the three races.

“It was good to make up places on the hard tyre in race one, and I enjoyed the battle with Rob in race two. It showed how important it is to not roll over and concede a position, because that gave us the reverse grid and set up the win.

“It was harder than I expected in race three to get the heat into the tyres early on and I struggled a bit at the start, but once I got a few lengths on the Mercedes, I knew we could do it. It was the same at the restart and once I saw the gap behind, I could take it steady.

“After tough weekends at Snetterton and Knockhill, this victory tastes a little bit sweeter and the whole team has done a great job this weekend.”
